Medior Full-stack Engineer

What are you going to do?

You are going to use technologies and tools such as AWS (Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, etc.), JavaScript/TypeScript (Next.js, tRPC, React, Node.js and more), A.I. (GPT) and SAP FS-PM. Besides directly contributing to the codebase, your responsibility is to coach more junior colleagues to become better software engineers, help us develop general best practices and foster a true engineering culture. Your main responsibilities are to:

• Build software with the best possible user experience, while following an API-first approach
• Implement modern best practices for software development, such as automated building, testing and deployment through CI/CD
• Collaborate closely with your team members by doing pair and mob programming
• Coach juniors to become better software engineers and further develop their strengths
• Talk to other teams, and users to explore their needs and produce feasible solutions
• Advocate a DevOps mindset and help us to create a true engineering culture

What you will bring

We are looking for a professional with 3+ years of experience in software development. Furthermore you have experience in:

• Backend development: experience with SAP FS-PM and other modern backend tech stack (Preferably Node.js)
• Frontend development: JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and knowledge of any modern frontend framework (Preferably React or Vue)
• Experience building applications using AWS (e.g., API Gateway, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, etc.)
• A passion for automation and implementing recurring tasks, testing, and security in CI/CD systems
• Experience building applications using Serverless is a big plus
• Experience with tools and frameworks like Next.js, tRPC, Zod is a big plus
• Experience with Docker or K8s is a plus

You will join a partially remote cross-functional product team in the IT department of Schade Intermediair. In this department, we create B2B insurance products for intermediaries and direct customers. Our focus is to create an amazing user experience, expand our product offering and improve operational efficiency.
