The team
The Communities of Expertise (CoE) Performance & Reward team consists of 7 team members and focuses on four different business line areas – Retail, Tech, Operations, Wholesale Banking and our Corporate Staff Departments. In this role, you will create, implement and communicate change initiatives which are in the field of pensions and benefits. The role hierarchically reports to the Head of Performance & Reward NL.

Within the Human Resources organization, the role of a team member in the Communities of Expertise (CoEs) is to enable the delivery of the People Vision through closely collaborating and working with the HR Business Partners and People Services. The purpose of the CoE role is to design and improve people processes in the areas of Performance and Rewards, Talent and Learning, and People Analytics. In essence, responsible for ensuring ING has access to the best new and existing HR tools, processes and initiatives.
Roles & responsibilities
You will ensure that HR and the business have access to best-in-class pension and benefits propositions and that operational management is well positioned within ING. Key activities include, amongst others:
- Implement the changes brought about by the upcoming NL pension reform
- Case management for current and legacy pension and benefit plans
- Operational management on financial controls (e.g. SoX)
- Driving budget coordination on pensions and benefits
- Manage relationships with third party providers of our pensions and benefits services
- Design and implement new benefits which are aligned with the global strategy
- Provide expert advice and guidance to the organization in own area of expertise

- Recognized expertise in Pension area (e.g.: actuary, driving pension change) for at least 5 years
- Strong affinity with numbers and data and a good understanding on how data analysis and reporting support building better people solutions
- Project and/or program management skills that drive sustainable impact
- Strong relationship skills; ability to build connections with stakeholders from different cultural backgrounds, geographies and at varying levels of seniority
- Practical experience of building strong relationships with third party vendors in area of expertise
- Excellent written and orally communication skills (business English and Dutch) in order to bring a compelling story and engage stakeholders on new or existing people solutions
- Highly organized and able to manage tight deadlines
- You are proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
