Your job
As a Procurement Sustainability Officer, you'll be part of our Procurement Office team. Your responsibilities include steering, developing, managing, and supporting our sustainability journey within procurement. This involves collaborating closely with the entire procurement community and key internal and external stakeholders involved in our sustainability efforts.

- Foster sustainability awareness across the Procurement organization.
- Collaborate with the Group Sustainability Office and network to develop procurement-level initiatives, and report on actions and progress.
- Drive the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) approach within Indirect Procurement, managing related activities to mitigate ESG risks in the supply chain.
- Manage relationships with external partners like GSES and Hellios for supplier assessments and ratings.
- Establish a framework to support buyers in leveraging, developing, and monitoring sustainability projects from suppliers, including reducing upstream scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions.
- Assist category managers with implementing sustainability strategies tailored to their product portfolios.
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Drive the overall sustainability agenda within the Indirect Procurement Function.
- Share and promote the implementation of best practices related to Procurement Sustainability.
Your profile
We are seeking candidates with a deep understanding of sustainability, environmental awareness, and strategic thinking skills.

- HBO or Master's Degree in sustainability, environmental science, supply chain management, or related field.
- Strong understanding of ESG and SDGs, with the ability to develop and implement supply chain strategies to mitigate negative impacts.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess environmental impacts, conduct life cycle assessments, and analyze sustainability metrics.
- Outstanding communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels and effectively integrate sustainability into procurement processes.
- Creative problem-solving abilities to identify innovative solutions for reducing environmental impacts.
- Ethical compass and commitment to responsible business practices, including the promotion of fair trade, social responsibility, and ethical sourcing practices within the supply chain.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying updated on sustainability trends, regulations, and technologies.
Working environment
You'll join a team of 17 enthusiastic colleagues supporting the MT and the Procurement department. Procurement (80 colleagues) falls within I&T, under the CITO, aiming to connect business needs with the best partners and suppliers for cost-effective and innovative products and services. We are result-oriented with an informal culture.

- The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
- The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one-twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
- Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
- Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
