Senior IT Risk Manager

Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior IT Risk Manager to join the second line Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) team. As a member of this team, your responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing IT risk policies and guidelines.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant (IT) risk frameworks (e.g., TARGET2, EBA, DORA, BCBS239).
• Raising (IT) risk awareness across the organization.
• Advising on and challenging the outcomes of IT risk assessments and control testing.
• Monitoring and reporting on the IT risk profile within our organization. 

The Team

The NFRM team within Knab consists of 13 dedicated risk specialists in the second line, who maintain the operational risk framework of the bank. The ORM and Security & IT team are part of the Non-Financial Risk (NFR) department and reports to the Head of NFRM of the bank.

As a Senior IT Risk Manager, you will work in the 2nd line but will collaborate closely with various IT business teams. This collaboration ensures a comprehensive approach to managing IT risks across the organization, leveraging diverse expertise and fostering a culture of shared responsibility for IT risk management.

Your Profile

As a Senior IT Risk Manager, you are a dedicated team player with a hands-on mentality and result-oriented. Moreover, you have the following qualifications:

• You think and operate on an academic level supported by a master’s degree.
• At least 5 years’ experience in IT risk management, preferably in the financial industry.
• Extensive experience with IT risk frameworks.
• A strong understanding of IT risk practices and techniques including experience in the development and implementation of IT risk policies.
• Good knowledge and understanding of retail banking processes and relevant regulations.
• Fluency in English and preferably Dutch (both written and oral).
